Healthy living and healthy eating doesn’t have to be nearly as difficult as you think.

You don’t have to run marathons, become a body-builder, crash-diet or avoid any and all foods that you enjoy. Healthy living and eating is as simple as getting the proper amount of sleep, maintaining a healthy balance in the foods you eat, and exercising at least a couple of times a week.

The most important thing about healthy living and healthy eating is to make sure you don’t have any bad habits that are literally killing you.

If you smoke, it’s important that you quit as soon as possible- smoking is a huge problem for your body and will keep you from being as healthy as you can be. More people die from smoking-related diseases than any other. Second-hand smoke is just as dangerous as smoking, if you don’t smoke, try to avoid second-hand smoke if at all possible.

Drink plenty of water. Drinking plenty of water is a great way to ensure that you are on the right track to healthy living and healthy eating. Your body needs water to stay hydrated, replenish its’ own fluids, and also to repair itself.

Drinking alcohol in moderation is better than drinking larger amounts more frequently. There are many different schools of thought about alcohol consumption, but the general consensus seems to be that it’s best to drink in moderation- if at all.

Don’t assume that healthy living and healthy eating mean that you have to give up things you enjoy, the bottom line is, simply do more things in moderation if at all possible. Even too much of a good thing is bad for you.
